Softball Recap: Oak Forest Academy Yellowjackets vs. Simpson Academy Cougars
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Oak Forest Academy had no problem doing just that on Monday. They skirted past the Simpson Academy Cougars 8-6. The win was nothing new for the Yellowjackets as they're now sitting on six straight.
The team relied heavily on Enslee Casanova, who went 1-for-3 with a home run, two runs, and a stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Day, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-4.
Oak Forest Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4-1 record this season. As for Simpson Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 28-9-1.
