Softball Game Preview: Wilson Mules vs. Marshall Barristers

Wilson is 0-10 against Marshall since April of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Mules will be playing in front of their home fans against the Barristers at 3:00 p.m.

Wilson came up short against Eagle Rock on Friday, falling 7-1.

Marshall's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Garfield on Friday. The Barristers walked away with a 7-2 victory over Bravo. The win was some much needed relief for the Barristers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Jolie Evans was excellent, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That stolen base was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylee Ortiz, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Marshall's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Wilson, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.

Wilson couldn't quite get it done against Marshall when the teams last played back in May of 2025 as they fell 15-11. Can the Mules avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
