Basketball Recap: Bishop McNamara Triumphs

Bishop McNamara had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Winston Salem Christian National Lions by a score of 72-63.

Winston Salem Christian National's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Josiah Johnson Freeman, who posted 18 points, and Bradley Floyd, who put up 18 points. Kenyon St.Louis was another key player, putting up ten points.

The loss snapped Winston Salem Christian National's winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 9-2 record.

Looking ahead, Bishop McNamara will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Santa Margarita at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Winston Salem Christian National, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 75-72 defeat against Bishop Ireton on the 30th.
