Baseball Recap: Glacier Peak Takes Down Bothell in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Glacier Peak walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Bothell Cougars with a sharp 8-2 victory on Saturday. The Grizzlies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.

Glacier Peak got a great performance from Ryan Sundby as he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Atticus Quist was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Lucas Keller, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Glacier Peak always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bothell only posted an OBP of .364.

Glacier Peak has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bothell, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-13.

As of now, neither Glacier Peak nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
