Raymond Central came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They wrapped up 2024 with a 44-25 victory over the Weeping Water Indians. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.

Raymond Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kenzie Teneyck led the charge by going 7 for 12 on her way to 17 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Teneyck has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Masek, who posted 13 points and six steals.

Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Taylor Brack, who had six points. Kalison Miller was another key player, putting up six points.

Raymond Central's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Weeping Water, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

Raymond Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 50-34 defeat against Johnson-Brock on the 28th. As for Weeping Water, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 50-41 loss against Johnson County Central/Lewiston on the 28th.
