Swain County has gone a perfect 10-0 against Hayesville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Maroon Devils will be playing at home against the Yellowjackets at 4:30 p.m. Swain County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

Meanwhile, Hayesville didn't have quite enough to beat Cherokee on Friday and fell 7-5.

Lucy Trout led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-3 with two runs. Those runs marked the first that she has scored this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Danielle Anderson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Hayesville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Swain County, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

Swain County's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. The Maroon Devils have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Hayesville, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Swain County continue to outrun the ball?

Everything went Swain County's way against Hayesville in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, as Swain County made off with a 13-0 victory. Will the Maroon Devils repeat their success, or do the Yellowjackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
