Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Lemon Bay + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and Lemon Bay had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Hardee Wildcats on Wednesday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Manta Rays as they're now sitting on four straight.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-20, 25-8.

Lemon Bay was led to victory by Maisyn Pierce and Natalie Googins. Pierce had seven aces and five digs, while Googins had 12 digs and four aces. Those seven aces gave Pierce a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Lemon Bay was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive matchups.

Lemon Bay's win bumped their record up to 19-9. As for Hardee, they dropped their record down to 10-13 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Lemon Bay will challenge Dunedin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hardee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
