Football Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

Marshall lost against Lake Mills back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cardinals took a blow against the L-Cats, falling 50-14. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while the L-Cats are ranked 76th).

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lake Mills, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Marshall and Lake Mills will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Cardinals are set to take on their familiar foe Pardeeville at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. Meanwhile, Lake Mills will square off against rival Horicon/Hustisford at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
