Football Game Preview: Norview Pilots vs. Norcom Greyhounds + How To Watch

The Norview Pilots will take on the Norcom Greyhounds at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Norview will be strutting in after a victory while Norcom will be coming in after a defeat.

Norview is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Booker T. Washington to the tune of 51-14 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Pilots needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Jamir Vaughan was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 238 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.9 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 32 yards and one score. His passing game has become a key predictor of Norview's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 2-3 otherwise. 87 of Vaughan's passing yards were hauled in by Treyvon Stephens-Freeman, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Another reason for the win was Norview's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Haiden Louther and Antoine Ward, who each picked up 0.5 sacks apiece. Norview received some extra help from Amari Martin, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Norcom's offense. They were beaten by Maury 66-0 on Friday. The Greyhounds have struggled against the Commodores recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Norview's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Norcom, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
