Vassar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 73-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bad Axe Hatchets. While losing is never fun, the Vulcans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 463rd, while the Hatchets are ranked 211th).

When it comes to explaining why Vassar lost, don't look at Austin Long. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 14 en route to 28 points and five assists.
