Baseball Recap: Wolfe County Victorious

Wolfe County's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They never let the Lee County Bobcats get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by nine runs or more this season.

Jaxson Hollon and Chance Fallen were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Hollon tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Fallen tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Hollon posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025. At bat, Hollon went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Fallen went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jaden Hollon, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Camden Oliver was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Wolfe County's win bumped their record up to 18-9. As for Lee County, they dropped their record down to 6-18 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Wolfe County will welcome Powell County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lee County, they will head out to challenge Estill County at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
