Softball Recap: Marana Has No Trouble Against Catalina Foothills

While Marana put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Catalina Foothills. The Marana Tigers blew past the Catalina Foothills Falcons 12-0. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won three in a row.

Emma Winter looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Bella Corona was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and three RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bella Sayre, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3.

Marana kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Marana's record is now 2-0. As for Catalina Foothills, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Marana has already played their next matchup, a 12-9 victory against Desert Christian on the 26th. As for Catalina Foothills, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-4 defeat against Rincon/University on the 26th.
