Heritage dropped down to 14-8 on Tuesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Calhoun Yellow Jackets by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Generals couldn't push the score so high this time.

Heritage saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Molly O'Brien, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

As for Calhoun, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-13. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted against Heritage since September 12, 2015.

On Calhoun's side, Saydi Prokop spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Maggy Abernathy, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

While Heritage had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
