Basketball Game Preview: Graham Local Falcons vs. Piqua Indians

The Graham Local Falcons will head out to face off against the Piqua Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Piqua took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Graham Local, who comes in off a win.

On Saturday, Graham Local earned a 51-42 win over Benjamin Logan. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won three in a row.

Graham Local's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Riley McAlexander, who shot 78% from the field on her way to 21 points and six steals, and Zoey Conn, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. The contest was Conn's third in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Yukon, who posted five points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Piqua was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 38-22 to Troy.

Graham Local now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Piqua, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Graham Local beat Piqua 43-36 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
