Soccer Preview: Greenville H vs. Southside Christian
Greenville H is 0-4 against Southside Christian since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Greenville H Hurricanes will be staying on the road to face off against the Southside Christian Sabres at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Greenville H is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in South Carolina (they are ranked 31st, while Southside Christian is ranked 97th).
Greenville H has not lost a match since February 23rd, a trend which continued in their latest game on Wednesday. They and Easley finished up their contest with a 2-2 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Greenville H's first draw of the season.
Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Southside Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They beat Wren by a goal, winning 3-2. The win was just what Southside Christian needed coming off of a 6-0 loss in their prior game.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Ava Brown and
Lila Evans, who scored all three of Southside Christian's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 12 so far this season.
With that draw, Greenville H's record moves to 7-1-1. As for Southside Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8-1.
