Levi Beckwith leads a balanced attack to beat Broughton

Recap: Heritage Huskies vs. Broughton Capitals

Even though the Broughton Capitals scored an imposing 58 points on Friday, the Heritage Huskies still came out on top. Heritage snuck past Broughton with a 63-58 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Heritage.

Heritage got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Levi Beckwith out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. Beckwith hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. Ryder Strand was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.

Heritage pushed their record up to 8-5 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Broughton, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage will take on Millbrook at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Millbrook presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Heritage in North Carolina (Millbrook is ranked 27th, while Heritage is ranked 116th). As for Broughton, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Leesville Road at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th.
