Volleyball Recap: Space Coast Comes Up Short

Space Coast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Smyrna Beach Barracudas.

Despite the loss, Space Coast still got an impressive performance from Haley Cowling, who had 12 digs and one assist. Cowling is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.

Space Coast's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for New Smyrna Beach, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-11.

Space Coast didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Moore Haven on the 4th. As for New Smyrna Beach, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Winter Springs on the 4th.
