Hudson lost against Wachusett Regional back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hawks came up short against the Mountaineers, falling 3-0. The Hawks' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Hudson was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Wachusett Regional work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 26-24, 25-13.

Wachusett Regional can attribute much of their success to Julia Vettese, who had 11 digs and three aces. What's more, Vettese posted three assists, the most she's had since back in October of 2024.

Hudson now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Wachusett Regional, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Hudson has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Minnechaug Regional on the 27th. Hopefully Wachusett Regional paid attention to the Hawks' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
