Volleyball Recap: South Comes Up Short + How To Watch

South kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 2-0 to the Star Valley Braves. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Makayla McLaury paced South's offense, picking up five kills. McLaury got some help from Katelynn Brennan and her seven assists. Brennan was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Star Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Camryn Mackey out in front who had six digs and three aces.

South wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Green River on the 29th. As for Star Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Central on the 29th.
