AAAA Region 6 Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances in games played on Thursday and Friday (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Aedan Mccarthy Delivers Electric Performance Vs Colleton County

Starting off the list is Bluffton's Aedan Mccarthy, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Mccarthy threw for 276 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 passes, and also rushed for 56 yards.

The win was the third in a row for Bluffton, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. Mccarthy and Bluffton will venture away from home to square off against Bishop England at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Big Game from Mahoney As Bishop England Won 31-14

Quinn Mahoney was a major factor in Bishop England's win over Beaufort on Friday. Mahoney was dynamite, throwing for 192 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 45 yards.

Bishop England's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Mahoney and Bishop England will be playing in front of their home fans against Bluffton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Carnell Warren Makes It Two for Bluffton

The second Bluffton player making an appearance here is Carnell Warren, and for good reason. He picked up 122 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 68 yards.

Unfortunately for Colleton County, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Warren. Warren picked up 131 receiving yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Cougars duked it out back in October of 2023.

A Season-Best Effort from Jacobi Saunders Leads Bluffton over Colleton County

Bluffton was led to victory by Jacobi Saunders, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Saunders forced two fumbles and made 11 total tackles (1.0 for loss). The performance also marked the most rushing yards (three) he has had since back in November of 2023. Saunders is crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season.

For the season, Saunders has averaged 7.7 total tackles per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 1.29 total tackles per game.
