Kolbe-Cathedral won against Harding last Wednesday with 14 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Cougars put the hurt on the Bassick Lions with a sharp 14-3 win. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.

Joey Mingolello was a standout: he scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Ackeem Bulgin was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Kolbe-Cathedral's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Bassick, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
