Volleyball Recap: Emerson Triumphs

The Emerson Pirates had just enough and edged out Mount Olive Christian 3-2 on Monday.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (104-100) Emerson actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 19-25, 25-23, 16-25, 15-9.

Emerson's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Mount Olive Christian, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-10.

Coming up, Emerson will host Nevada at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mount Olive Christian, they are taking a road trip to challenge ARC Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
