Baseball Recap: Ripon Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ripon Christian, Ripon was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Orestimba Warriors by a score of 6-1. That's more bragging rights for the Indians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Landon Espinola was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Ripon's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Orestimba, they dropped their record down to 3-18 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.

Ripon will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
