Softball Recap: Yulee Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Yulee lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Ridgeview, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's matchup. Yulee was the clear victor by a 10-3 margin over Ridgeview on Friday. The Hornets' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last four games.

Kyleigh Golden made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Golden was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ava Martyn, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Brooklyn Sawyer was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Yulee pushed their record up to 5-4-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
