Football Recap: Eaton Takes a Loss

Eaton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 21-17 heartbreaker at the hands of the Waynesville Spartans. The Eagles lost against the Spartans in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 42-15 score last time.

Eaton's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Waynesville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Eaton is set to square off against their familiar foe Carlisle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Waynesville will face off against rival Valley View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
