Volleyball Recap: Santa Ana Takes a Loss

Santa Ana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Savanna Rebels. The Saints were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rebels apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Santa Ana took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 20-25, 23-25, 25-16, 15-12.

Santa Ana's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Savanna, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Coincidentally, Santa Ana and Savanna will both be playing Buena Park the next time they take the court. The Rebels will host the Coyotes at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Saints will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
