Basketball Recap: Maine West Find Success

Maine West proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 20) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 58-56 victory over the Francis W. Parker Colonels.

Francis W. Parker's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brady Harris, who went 7 for 15 en route to 19 points. Miles Johnson was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Maine West now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Francis W. Parker, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.

Maine West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 55-44 loss against Vernon Hills on the 7th. As for Francis W. Parker, they have also already played their next game, a 61-45 defeat against Northridge on the 7th.
