Soccer Game Preview: Birdville vs. Grapevine

The Birdville Hawks will take on the Grapevine Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Grapevine will be up against a hot Birdville squad: the team just extended their winning streak to six. Birdville never let Richland onto the board and left with a 4-0 win on Tuesday. The Hawks' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last six matches.

Meanwhile, everything went Grapevine's way against Ryan on Tuesday as Grapevine made off with a 4-0 victory. Chloe O'Steen had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Mustangs.

Birdville's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four games. As for Grapevine, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6-3.
