Softball Game Preview: Grand Ledge Comets vs. Lakeview Spartans

The Grand Ledge Comets will head out to take on the Lakeview Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Grand Ledge is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.

Grand Ledge had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Okemos on Monday. The Comets never let the Wolves get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Comets have won 13 games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Lakeview ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over Marshall. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Redhawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Grand Ledge's record now sits at 17-3. As for Lakeview, their record is now 5-1.
