Preview: Starmount Rams vs. Forbush Falcons
After three games on the road, Starmount is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Forbush Falcons at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Starmount had to suffer through a rough 71-34 loss at the hands of Ashe County. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Starmount in their matchups with Ashe County: they've now lost three in a row.
Starmount's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jadon Hurt-bailey, who scored eight points along with three steals, and Jordon Dobson who scored 13 points.
Starmount struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Forbush, who are still winless after their fifth matchup. They took a 73-58 bruising from Ledford on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Friday (56), Forbush still had to take the loss.
Starmount's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Forbush, their loss was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5.
Everything came up roses for Starmount against Forbush in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 84-45 win. Does Starmount have another victory up their sleeve, or will Forbush turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
