Marina extended their losing streak to 13 on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-13 in the process. They came up short against the Pajaro Valley Grizzlies, falling 25-14. On the bright side, the 14- run effort marked the Mariners' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Kaleb True put in work no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero). He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Bryce Laoagan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those runs were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jessy Raygoza, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Pajaro Valley's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-11. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for their hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

On Pajaro Valley's side, Emilio Diaz was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two runs gave Diaz a new career-high. Dorian Reyna was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

While Marina had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
