Football Recap: Krum Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

It was a proper cat-fight when Krum challenged Van Alstyne on Friday. The Bobcats snuck past the Panthers with a 23-19 win. The 23-point effort marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Krum got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Will Holland out in front who rushed for 112 yards and one TD. Holland is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 103 every time he's taken the field this season. Another pass catcher making a difference was Lane Larson, who picked up 114 receiving yards and one score.

The win keeps Krum at an undefeated 5-0. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 50.4 points this season. As for Van Alstyne, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Krum and Van Alstyne will both be playing Sanger the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Bobcats will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
