Soccer Game Preview: Patton vs. Hendersonville

Patton hasn't had much luck against Hendersonville recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Panthers will challenge the Bearcats at 6:45 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Patton is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Chase get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what Patton needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Hendersonville entered their tilt with Brevard on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Blue Devils. Give Hendersonville's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Kaitlyn Dibert, who's now up to four this season.

Hendersonville pushed their record up to 14-2-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Patton, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.

Patton suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Hendersonville when the teams last played back in April. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
