Softball Recap: Russellville Takes a Loss

Russellville managed to slip by Logan County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Panthers came up short against the Cougars on Wednesday, falling 10-3. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 8-7.

This is the second loss in a row for Russellville and nudges their season record down to 14-12. As for Logan County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Russellville will square off against Bowling Green at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Purples have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.63 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Logan County, they will take on Ohio County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
