Softball Recap: Ashley Takes a Loss

Ashley was the 8-5 winner over East Columbus when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Screaming Eagle fell 9-4 to the Gators on Wednesday.

Vayda LeQuire made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Ashley's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-15. As for East Columbus, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ashley will welcome Laney at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Buccaneers will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Screaming Eagle surely won't give up without a fight. As for East Columbus, they will challenge Heide Trask at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
