Baseball Recap: Oscar Smith Sets Scoring Season-High Against Pine Forest

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oscar Smith). They walked away with an 8-3 win over the Pine Forest Trojans on Tuesday.

Oscar Smith saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Donte Brooks Jr., who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That double was Brooks Jr.'s first of the season.

The victory got Oscar Smith back to even at 5-5. As for Pine Forest, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oscar Smith will challenge Hickory at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pine Forest, they will face off against Terry Sanford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
