Football Recap: Jonesboro Hurricane vs. Conway Wampus Cats
Jonesboro kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were beaten by the Conway Wampus Cats 68-37. The defeat continues a trend for the Hurricane in their meetings with the Wampus Cats: they've now lost nine in a row.
Jonesboro lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Asa Myers, who threw for 259 yards and two TDs, and also punched in one score on the ground. K'Den Hawkins helped Myers out on the ground, rushing for 132 yards and one touchdown on only 13 carries.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jonesboro will venture away from home to square off against Robinson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Conway, they will head out to take on Bentonville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
