Open Door Christian had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Lake Center Christian Tiger. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-15, 19-25, 25-15.

Open Door Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sammy Comer led the charge by getting 18 digs and two aces. Ellie Pruitt was another key player, getting 39 assists and 16 digs.

Despite the loss, Lake Center Christian still got an impressive performance from Kamden Maninga, who had 25 digs and three aces. Maninga has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more digs the last three times she's played. Jillian Miller also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Open Door Christian's victory bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Lake Center Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.
