Soccer Recap: Kirtland Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Kirtland has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Geauga Wolverines. Kirtland were not able to make up for their defeat to West Geauga from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Kirtland's goal came courtesy of Karlo Cubela, who's now up to four this season.

Kirtland's loss dropped their record down to 5-2-2. As for West Geauga, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4-1 record this season.

Kirtland will venture away from home to square off against Wickliffe at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Geauga, they will welcome Streetsboro at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
