Softball Recap: Santa Fe Takes a Loss

Santa Fe had taken Palatka down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Monday. The Raiders fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 5-4. The Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 8-0.

This is the second loss in a row for Santa Fe and nudges their season record down to 17-3. As for Palatka, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-10.

Santa Fe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Palatka, they will square off against Clay at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Devils have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
