Soccer Recap: Liberty Falls Short Against Ranked Shadow Ridge

On Friday, Liberty faced Shadow Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Liberty Lions fell just short of the Shadow Ridge Stallions by a score of 2-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Stallions: they've now lost three in a row.

Liberty's goal came courtesy of Kyen Wallace, who's now up to 14 this season.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Shadow Ridge, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-5-2.

Liberty has already played their next match, a 1-0 defeat against Corona del Sol on the 28th. As for Shadow Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Cesar Chavez on the 30th.
