Football Game Preview: Eisenhower Eagles vs. Nimitz Cougars

The Eisenhower Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Nimitz Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eisenhower will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Eisenhower will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Dekaney, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Eagles strolled past the Wildcats with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 20-6.

Among those leading the charge was Jason Washington, who rushed for 64 yards and one score.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Nimitz and Benjamin Davis meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Cougars claimed a resounding 40-7 victory over the Falcons. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won four matchups by 33 points or more so far this season.

Nimitz's record now sits at 5-2. As for Eisenhower, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 5-2.

Eisenhower suffered a grim 41-21 defeat to Nimitz in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
