Football Recap: Powell County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After soaring to 48 points the game before, Powell County was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were dealt a 43-7 loss at the hands of the Lawrence County Bulldogs. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

Lawrence County can attribute much of their success to Luke Fetherolf, who threw for 178 yards and three TDs while completing 81.8% of his passes.

Powell County now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Lawrence County, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Powell County will venture away from home to square off against Letcher County Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. As for Lawrence County, they will take on Estill County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
