Softball Recap: Roosevelt Comes Up Short

The Roosevelt Roughriders came up short against the Coolidge Colts on Thursday and fell 12-7.

Kennedy Cary made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole five bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances. Mell Maloney Lopez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing four bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Coolidge, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Roosevelt will face off against rival Eastern at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Coolidge is set to challenge their familiar foe Bell at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
