Volleyball Recap: Pentucket Regional Comes Up Short

Pentucket Regional was the 3-1 winner over Hamilton-Wenham Regional when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Pentucket Regional took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hamilton-Wenham Regional on Friday. Pentucket Regional has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Pentucket Regional ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 17-25, 25-19, 25-17.

Amelia Crowe paced Pentucket Regional's offense, picking up eight kills. Crowe got some help from Michaela Gabardi and her 19 assists. Ellie DeRosa and Alanna Cepeda kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Pentucket Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Hamilton-Wenham Regional, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pentucket Regional beat Hamilton-Wenham Regional by a score of 3-0 on Tuesday.
