Basketball Game Preview: Sleepy Eye Indians vs. St. James Saints

The Sleepy Eye Indians will take on the St. James Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Sleepy Eye is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with an 86-76 victory over Lester Prairie on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Meanwhile, St. James came up short against Tri-City United [Montgomery-Lonsdale/Le Center] on Tuesday and fell 67-55. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sleepy Eye's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for St. James, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Sleepy Eye took their victory against St. James in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 83-57. Does Sleepy Eye have another victory up their sleeve, or will St. James turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
