Volleyball Recap: St. Pius X Takes a Loss

St. Pius X lost against Raymore-Peculiar back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Warriors took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-22, 32-30.

Mikayla Fox paced St. Pius X's offense, picking up ten kills. Fox got some help from Maddy Collignon and her 17 assists.

St. Pius X now has a losing record of 15-16-1. As for Raymore-Peculiar, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season.

St. Pius X didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Pembroke Hill on the 25th. As for Raymore-Peculiar, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Truman on the 20th.
