Llano is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Friday. They will host the Florence Buffaloes at 7:00 p.m. Florence took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Llano, who comes in off a win.

Llano's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 41-0 victory over Comfort. Considering the Yellowjackets have won four matchups by more than 31 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Luke Davis had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 262 yards and four TDs while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 50 yards. Austin Humphries was another key player, picking up 81 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Llano didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Brady Kelly, Jose Sillas, and JD Friday picked up one apiece. Sillas got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Florence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against Hico, falling 57-7.

Llano's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Florence, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
