Baseball Recap: Vale Victorious

Vale took a 14-run loss the last time they faced off against Marsing, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Vale skirted past Marsing 7-6. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 16-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The victory made it two in a row for Vale and bumps their season record up to 3-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Marsing, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vale will square off against Baker/Powder Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marsing, they will challenge Parma at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give Marsing their first taste of in-conference action this season.
