Football Recap: Waterloo East Takes a Loss

Waterloo East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks 56-7. The Trojans lost against the Go-Hawks in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 42-18 score last time.

Waterloo East's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Waverly-Shell Rock, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Waterloo East is set to take on their familiar foe Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Waverly-Shell Rock will face off against rival Decorah-North Winneshiek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
